About Protective Behaviours
Protective Behaviours is an internationally acclaimed approach to personal safety. That offers a down to earth, practical approach to empower individuals. It starts with helping them to understand when they feel safe and when they might not feel safe (early warning signs). It provides practical skills and strategies to take action and seek help (personal network) to help them feel safe again.
It also encourages individuals to have fun and take risks (safety continuum) to achieve goals and personal development.
It has been successfully used in a whole range of settings and situations, due to its flexible and adaptive nature. The strategies are universal to all regardless of culture, age, ability etc. It encourages and empowers individuals to build confidence, resilience and develop strategies to manage their own safety and help them to feel safe again.
